What is the SABER Platform?

SABER is an electronic platform connecting importers with accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies. Through it:

• Establishments register (importers, factories, traders)
• Products are registered
• Product Conformity Certificates (PC) are issued
• Shipment Certificates (SC) are issued

Certificate Types

Product Certificate (PC)

• Cost: SAR 500 (excl. VAT)
• Time: based on lab tests
• Validity: varies by product type

Shipment Certificate (SC)

• Cost: SAR 350 (excl. VAT)
• Time: 1–3 business days
• Linked to: an active PC

Products Subject to SABER

• Home appliances and electronics
• Vehicle spare parts
• Construction materials
• Toys
• Textiles
• Electrical tools
• Consumer chemical products

SABER Registration Steps

1. Register the establishment — one-time step
2. Register the product — with all technical data
3. Choose an accredited Conformity Assessment Body
4. Run lab tests at an accredited lab
5. Issue the conformity certificate

SABER and FASAH Integration

Since 2020, the SABER and FASAH platforms have been linked. Any shipment subject to SASO regulations must have a SABER certificate to clear FASAH.
