SABER & FASAH

We turn the complexity of conformity certificates and customs declarations into a clear, simple flow

Why Are SABER & FASAH Important?

Since 2020, the Saudi government has linked the SASO conformity platform (SABER) with the ZATCA customs platform (FASAH). The result: any product imported into Saudi Arabia must have a SABER certificate before its FASAH customs declaration can be approved.

Without SABER, your shipment is stuck at the port. Without correct FASAH filing, the shipment cannot be released. OBOOR handles every step on your behalf.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between SABER and FASAH?

FASAH is the ZATCA platform for customs declarations and release permits. SABER is the SASO platform for issuing conformity certificates. The two have been integrated since 2020.

When do I need a SABER certificate?

For consumer products subject to SASO technical regulations: home appliances, auto spare parts, construction materials, toys, textiles, electronics, and consumer chemicals.

How long does it take to issue a SABER certificate?

Shipment Certificate: 1–3 business days when test reports are ready. Product Certificate: longer, depending on lab tests required.

How much does SABER cost?

Product Certificate (PC) = SAR 500 (excl. VAT). Shipment Certificate = SAR 350 (excl. VAT). These are the official platform fees; OBOOR’s service is separate.

What if my certificate is rejected?

We review the rejection reasons, correct documents or re-test, and re-submit. Our experience working with SASO minimizes rejection risk from the start.
